Congress Registration & General Enquiries

Preferred browsers are Chrome, Edge and Mozilla Firefox (latest versions!).
Please make sure you have a stable internet connection and ideally do not use WiFi. We recommend to use a laptop or desktop computer. Mobile devices are not supported.
Yes, you can, however, only at the non-member rate, as resident status cannot be checked.
You will not be able to access the virtual congress. So please make sure to check in your account whether your registration is fully paid before your online participation.
You can access the congress portal by clicking on the respective landing page at www.esp-congress.org that will be made available for live congress hours. Please have your login credentials for your congress account (your e-mail address plus individual password) at hand as you will need to login to access specific content.
All sessions (including industry sponsored sessions) will be recorded and will be available for delayed viewing for a period of 3 months after the congress to registered delegates.
The handouts are available in the congress portal via the Online Programme. Look for the session you are interested in, click the small arrow up/down icon in the top right corner of the session and select "Handout" to download.

We invite all delegates to join the ECP Networking Area which can be accessed here. The networking area is open 24/7 to all registered delegates.
On each congress day, "OFP meet-ups" will be organised within the networking area:

Meet OFP authors and discuss their findings – OFP presenters are invited to join the meet-ups for discussion with fellow pathologists.

ESP General Assembly
The virtual GA is scheduled for Tuesday, 31 August, 19:15 CEST.
All ESP members in good standing receive an invitation to the virtual GA on 20 August 2021, which includes a registration link. Upon registration, a Zoom link to participate in the GA will be sent. Should you not receive the invitation, please contact for clarification.
Invited Speakers, Presenters, Abstract Submitters and Bursary Applicants
No, you don’t. You have already been registered free of charge by the Congress Office - no need for you to do it via the congress website.
All chairs and speakers have received an e-mail to activate their account and participate online.
- All chairs have received a chair briefing document and an invitation to an online briefing in the week before the congress. The briefing has been recorded and made available to those who could not attend.
- All speakers have received the Zoom link to their session and further instructions on Thursday, 26 August 2021 by e-mail.
In order to avoid technical/internet issues, live presentation are not foreseen. All presentations need to be prerecorded.
Oral presentations shall be self-recorded. Guidelines for the recording and information on the upload are available here.
Authors whose abstracts have been selected for a poster presentation are invited to prepare a digital poster, with the option to add a video file to present the poster. Invitations for the preparation and the upload have been e-mailed to authors mid of July. Guidelines for preparation are available here.
Invitations for upload to authors whose abstracts have been selected for an E-Poster have been sent mid of July. Guidelines for preparation are available here.
Contrary to previous ECPs, the poster format is LANDSCAPE, as the majority of the congress participants will participate in the virtual congress via their desktop computer or laptop.
CME Accreditation
The 33rd European Congress of Pathology (live streaming) has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 18 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
In order to receive a certificate of attendance / CME certificate you are kindly requested to evaluate the congress. The respective form will be made available via your congress account starting 1 September 2021. Please navigate to the menu item "Congress Evaluation".
Please note: CME certificates can only be claimed between 1 September and 30 November 2021. After this date, no certificates may be issued.
Virtual Exhibition / Industry Sponsored Symposia
Yes, all registered delegates are invited to visit the virtual exhibition to get in touch with industry representatives.
No, the virtual exhibition will be open to registered delegates until 12 September 2021.
Yes, all industry sponsored symposia can be accessed by paid delegates and will be recorded. An overview of all symposia is available here.
If you would like to visit the exhibition only you can do so by registering free of charge via this link.
