* In good standing (membership fee for 2019 paid). Please note that the member fee can only be granted if you are a member of the ESP at the time of registration. If you are not a member yet, you need to apply for membership first and once you have received your ESP membership confirmation, you can register at the member fee.
** For residents/PhD students under 40 (i.e. born after 6 September 1979 - to be proven by ID card/passport). The resident/student status must be confirmed by a formal declaration in English language from the Head of Department or the responsible for the training programme/a valid student ID card or confirmation of enrolment. All documents need to be uploaded during the registration process.
*** Participants with full ECP registration can attend this symposium at no extra cost.

  • Admission to all scientific sessions (including Two-Day Molecular Pathology Diagnostics Symposium (MDS) and One-Day Computational Pathology Symposium (CPS))
  • Admission to Opening Ceremony and Networking Reception
  • Admission to poster exhibition and technical exhibition
  • Coffee breaks and lunches from Sunday to Wednesday
  • Congress materials (delegate bag, final programme, digital abstract book etc.)
Accompanying Persons
  • Admission to Opening Ceremony and Networking Reception (2 September 2020)
  • Half day city sightseeing tour of Glasgow (tour dates will soon be published; advance registration is required)
  • Free public transportation pass?

Please note that accompanying persons do not have access to the scientific sessions, the poster exhibition and technical exhibition. Neither does the fee include any meals, such as congress coffee breaks/lunches.


When registering for the 32nd Congress of the ESP/XXXIII Congress of the IAP, please arrange payment of the registration fee. All payments must be made in EUR. You can choose between two forms of payment. We strongly recommend credit card payment as charges for bank transfers may apply twice, once in the country of origin and a second time in the target country.

Upon receipt of the registration and the corresponding payment, the congress office will send a confirmation to the participant which also serves as an invoice. Please present this confirmation of registration at the congress counter when picking up your congress material.

Invitation Letter

The congress organisation will be pleased to send a formal letter of invitation to delegates requesting an invitation letter for visa purposes. 
You can apply for an invitation letter online during the registration process on the congress website. The letters will be sent as e-mail attachments once the payment has been received.
It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa. This does not imply a commitment from the congress to provide any financial support.

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation, please notify the congress office CPO HANSER SERVICE in writing only. A full refund (minus an administrative charge of EUR 100,00) will be given for cancellations received by 25 May 2020. After 25 May 2020, no refunds will be given.

On-site registration

Participants who would like to register on-site are advised to arrive early. On-site registration does not necessarily entitle the participants to receive a delegate bag and congress material. On-site registration will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, priority will be given to pre-registered delegates.

Residents / PhD Students

Residents need to confirm their status by a formal declaration in English language from the head of department or the responsible for the training programme. The confirmation needs to be written on formal letter paper of your institute with official stamp and signature.

PhD students need to provide a valid student ID card or confirmation of enrolment.

In addition, a proof of age (e.g. a copy of their ID card or passport) has to be provided. All documents need to be uploaded during the registration process.

Undergraduate student registration

Undergraduate students are eligible for a free registration to the congress in Glasgow.
