by plane

To get to the city center from the airport, take Bizkaibus A3247 from outside the airport arrival hall. From the airport the bus leaves every 30 minutes, from 06:15 to 23:15 to Bilbao. From the city they leave every 30 minutes from 05:25 to 21:55. The trip takes about 25 minutes.

The bus has three stops: Gran Via 79 Viajes Ecuador, Plaza Moyua and Almeda Recalde 11, at which the bus connects with the TERMIBUS bus system of Bilbao.

by car

The A-8 motorway is the best way to reach Bilbao if you are travelling from the east or west. 

If you are travelling from central Spain (entering from the south), the A-68 is the main highway to Bilbao.

by train

A network of railway lines connects Bilbao. This, together with its excellent motorways and dual carriageways, makes land transport a good option. 

The closest Renfe long distance railway station is at Abando (Distance to Euskalduna Conference Centre: 1.7 km (20 minutes by foot). The nearest suburban train station is San Mamés, only 400 m away.

Getting around in Bilbao is easy and simple thanks to its efficient and sustainable transport network.

The city has one of the most modern metro systems in the world, which runs throughout the metropolitan area out to the beaches; a tram system which connects the key areas of the city and bus routes which reach the furthest corners of the urban network.

A network of commuter trains allows easy travel to the nearby coastal towns and nature parks.

By tram

The Bilbao tram line stops right in front of the Euskalduna Conference Centre (stop: Euskalduna).

By metro
The metro stop closest to the Euskalduna Conference Centre is San Mamés (Sabino Arana exit) - served by metro lines 1 and 2. The stop is an 8-minute walk from the Conference Centre.

By bus
The bus stop closest to the Euskalduna Conference Centre is Jesusen Bihotza 1 - served by lines L26, L56 and L62. The stop is a 4-5-minute walk from the Conference Centre.
