How to get around...

Thanks to its manageable size, the city of Basel is easy to explore on foot

Besides this, Basel’s modern public transportation system encompasses a large network of trams and buses, which allows visitors to get around quickly and comfortably in the city and even across borders to the neighbouring countries of Germany and France.

If you book hotel accommodation in the city of Basel, you will be provided with a free public transportation pass for the duration of your stay. The pass will be handed over to you by the hotel upon check in. For your transfer to the hotel upon arrival, showing the confirmation of your hotel reservation covers a free ride.

In addition, Basel offers an alternative way of transportation with easy to hire e-bikes (Guest Bike Basel).
