Abstract Book

All abstracts of the 31st ECP will be published as a supplement to Virchows Archiv. Participants can access a digital version of the abstract book through the congress website. A USB drive will be provided on-site.

Badges

Participants are kindly requested to wear their name badge at all times during the congress including the Opening Ceremony and Networking Reception.
The colours of the name badges have the following significance:

Dark Blue – Faculty

Yellow – Exhibitor
Purple – Delegate of Two-Day Symposium for Molecular Biologists
Green – Delegate of One-Day Computational Pathology Symposium

Car Park

There is a large parking area available which is at walking distance to the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre. The fee is EUR 24,70 per day.

Certificate of attendance / CME certificate

Participants can print out their certificates of attendance and CME certificates at the terminals near the registration counter.
From 16 September 2019 on, you can also print your CME certificate online at www.esp-congress.org by logging in with your participant number or with your congress login credentials.

Cloakroom

A cloakroom can be used free of charge from Saturday, 7 September, early evening, to Wednesday, 11 September 2019. Participants can also store their luggage here. The cloakroom is located in Agora 0, close to the main entrance.

CME - Continuing Medical Education

The 31st European Congress of Pathology, Nice, France has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 29 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). 

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Coffee Breaks

Coffee and tea will be served free of charge to all registered delegates during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks, 09:30 – 10:30 and 16:45 – 17:15, from Sunday, 8 September through Tuesday, 10 September and from 09:30 –10:30 and 16:00 – 16:30 on Wednesday, 11 September. Coffee stations are located in the exhibition area.

E-Posters

E-Posters will be available in the exhibition area. All E-Poster authors and poster presenters have been invited to upload their poster prior to the ECP 2019. All uploaded E-Posters can be searched for and viewed electronically on the terminals in the exhibition area from Sunday, 8 September to Wednesday, 11 September.

ESP Booth

The booth of the European Society of Pathology – ESP is located in the registration area.

Exhibition

The 31st ECP will be accompanied by a major technical exhibition taking place in Hall Rhodes of the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre.

Advance registration for the half day city sightseeing tour for accompanying persons is required. Please contact ecp-nice@cpo-hanser.de and choose one of the below dates:

How to get there (from the city centre)

By tram
The Nice tram line T1 stops right in front of the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre (stop: Acropolis).

By bus
The bus stop closest to the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre is Acropolis / Barla - served by lines 03, 04, 27, 82 and 89. The stop is very close to the main entrance of the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre.

Insurance / Liability

The ESP does not accept any liability for damages and / or losses of any kind which may be incurred by the congress participants or by any person accompanying them, during either the official activities or excursions.
Delegates participate in all tours / events at their own risk. Participants are advised to take out insurance against loss, accidents or damage that could be incurred during the congress.

Internet Centre

The Internet Centre with several terminals is located in Agora 3, on the third floor of Acropolis.

The official language of the 31st European Congress of Pathology is English.

Lunch Breaks

Lunch is served from 13:00 to 14:30 from Sunday, 8 September through Tuesday, 10 September 2019 and 13:00 to 14:00 on Wednesday, 11 September 2019. The catering stations are located in the exhibition area.

Poster Exhibition

Poster sessions will be held from Sunday, 8 September to Wednesday, 11 September 2019 in Agora 3 of Nice Acropolis Convention Centre. These sessions offer an effective forum for the exchange of information and a means to communicate ideas, research and programmes. Poster authors are required to be available for questions and further information at their poster board during the morning session break (09:30 – 10:30) from Sunday to Wednesday.
Posters are changed daily and are on display for the entire day of the respective poster session. They are sorted by topics and will be numbered within those topics. The best posters of each topic will be presented during the afternoon coffee break (16:45 – 17:15 Sunday – Tuesday, 13:15 – 13:45 Wednesday in the exhibition area at the E-Poster terminals). The poster exhibition is open to all registered delegates:

Programme Changes

The organisers cannot assume liability for any changes in the congress programme due to external or unforeseen circumstances.

Registration, on-site

On-site registration will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to pre-registered delegates. Depending on the number of on-site registered delegates, availability of congress material may be limited.

All congress material and documentation is available at the congress registration counter.
The Congress Counter is located in the entrance area of the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre.

Please note that accompanying persons do not have access to the scientifi c sessions, the poster exhibition and technical exhibition.
Neither does the fee include any meals, such as congress coffee breaks / lunches.

Safety

Please make sure to take off your name badge and congress bag when you go sightseeing in downtown Nice. Wearing the name and bag identifies you as a tourist which might attract pickpockets.

Availability is limited, so tickets for the social events will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Please purchase your ticket at least one day prior to the event at the congress counter.

Speakers' Preview Room

The Speakers' Preview Room is located in Foyer Hermès on Level 2. Speakers are asked to hand in their CD-ROM or USB stick containing the PowerPoint presentation preferably one day before their presentation, but at the latest three hours prior to the presentation. On-site technical staff will offer support.

Due to time and technical reasons we kindly ask the speakers not to use their own notebook. In the Speakers' Preview Room there are several PC working stations, where speakers can work on their presentation charts in a quiet area. Technical staff will be happy to assist.

A taxi rank is located directly to the left of the main entrance to the Acropolis Convention Center.
Please note that not all taxis accept credit cards, be sure to ask the driver before boarding a vehicle.

Be aware if you book in advance the cab will start charging from wherever it is when the call comes in, so by the time it arrives to
pick you up you could already have a hefty charge on the meter.
There is now a fixed rate of € 32 from the airport to Nice center including luggage (except if very large luggage). In order to
benefit from this rate, be sure to check with the driver before getting in.
